Former Bantama MP and former EPA CEO, Dr Henry Kwabena Kokofu, has called on all unsuccessful aspirants in the NPP’s just-ended elections to accept the results and unite for the party’s growth and progress.
“Elections naturally come with different emotions, including disappointment, happiness and sadness. However, the priority after every contest should be reconciliation and cooperation,” he said.
Speaking on Anopa Ahenfie on Ahenfie TV/FM hosted by Nana Kwadwo Jantuah, PhD, Dr. Kokofu said it is important for all candidates and their supporters to put their differences aside and move forward as one party.
He acknowledged that while some aspirants secured their desired outcomes, others were disappointed, noting that both victory and defeat are natural outcomes of democratic contests.
The former MP further stressed that the party’s leadership has a responsibility to reconcile members after the elections and foster unity despite their differences.
He concluded by urging party members to set aside their individual differences and engage one another with mutual respect.
