A marital dispute between Samuel Agyei and his wife, Naomi Baafi, over the sharing of a cocoa farm and the welfare of their children has reached Ahenfie Nkommo, a programme on Ahenfie TV, as the wife seeks assistance in resolving the longstanding disagreement.

The couple has seven children, one of whom is deceased. Their dispute centres on the ownership and sharing of a cocoa farm established on a 16-acre piece of land belonging to Naomi’s family, as well as concerns about their marriage and the care of their children.

According to the information provided, the land was divided into two equal portions, with one half allocated to Naomi’s family and the other half to the couple. The couple’s portion was subsequently divided between Samuel and Naomi. However, Naomi reportedly disagreed with the arrangement and declined to accept her share.

The disagreement has reportedly taken the couple to several places, including Sabronum Ahenfie, the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVSU) in Mankraso, the Pokukrom Local Court, and the Tepa District Court. The matter has now been brought before Ahenfie Nkommo for further discussion and possible resolution.

Naomi, the main complainant, accuses her husband of engaging in relationships with other women and failing to provide adequate care for her and their children. She says gaining access to her share of the cocoa farm would help her meet the children’s needs and provide for their welfare.

Samuel, however, maintains that Naomi is preventing him from benefiting from the farm because the land belongs to her family. He argues that his contribution to establishing and developing the farm should be recognised, despite the family’s ownership of the land.

He has also expressed concerns about what he describes as a lack of respect from his older children. Samuel says this has contributed to his decision not to take responsibility for their care.

The dispute raises concerns about the division of family property, the breakdown of marital relations, and the responsibilities of both parents towards their children. While the disagreement over the cocoa farm remains unresolved, the children’s welfare is also a central issue in the matter.

Naomi is appealing to Ahenfie Nkommo to help the couple find a fair and amicable solution to the farm-sharing dispute and address her concerns about the welfare of their children.
