Former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has formally declared her acceptance of Israel Kwadwo Safo as the leader of the Kantanka family and the Kristo Asafo Church, signaling an end to the internal dispute following the passing of Apostle Emeritus Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.

In an official statement, Adwoa Safo reaffirmed her dedication to preserving her late father’s legacy, unity, and the continued progress of both the family and the church.

Addressing the recent leadership impasse, Adwoa Safo acknowledged that while disagreement and friction naturally occur in times of transition, unity remains paramount.

“Out of deep respect and love for my brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, and in the spirit of honouring our father’s wishes, I publicly acknowledge and accept him as the leader of the Kantanka family and the Kristo Asafo Church,” she stated.

She expressed her full commitment to working collaboratively with her brother to ensure peace and stability, emphasizing that the mission of the Kristo Asafo Church must continue without hindrance.

Adwoa Safo paid tribute to her father’s contributions to technological innovation, philanthropy, and social development across Ghana and beyond.

She noted that Apostle Emeritus Kwadwo Safo’s legacy transcends individual interests, urging all members of the Kantanka family, church congregants, and the broader public to support the new leadership.

“I encourage all members of the church, loyal followers, and the larger Kantanka family to rally behind Israel Kwadwo Safo, as he steps into this role to continue our father’s work,” she added.

The statement marks a significant step toward resolving the leadership dispute that emerged following the death of the renowned industrialist and spiritual leader. Adwoa Safo called on all stakeholders to embrace reconciliation and focus on the collective goal of advancing the values and vision established by their founder.

With this public declaration, the Kantanka family and the Kristo Asafo Church are expected to transition into a new chapter under the leadership of Israel Kwadwo Safo.
